Hopton Boarding Kennels Terms & Conditions

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY FAILURE TO COMPLY COULD RESULT IN YOUR DOG(S) BEING TURNED AWAY FROM OUR KENNELS

  • When booking your dog into a kennel an arranged drop of time must be agreed (within the opening times) to ensure smooth transition of your dog into the kennels.
  • Booking in form to be completed on arrival,a note made on kennel white board of any belongings left for the dog(s),leads toys, bedding, etc. which will be returned on departure.We cannot be held responsible for damage/loss of these items, and reserve the right to discard any item due to a health and safety concern, all bedding must be suitable dog bedding and not duvets, sleeping bagsect.
  • Allexisting customers please ensure your information/contact details are still correct and up to date.
  • Proof of Canine Parvovirus,Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, adenovirus/infectious (up to date booster vaccinations) and the Kennel Cough Vaccines must be seen, checked they are in date and administered 2 weeks before the dogs can be accepted within the kennels. The proof must stay on the premises and will be ready for collection on the day of the departure.
  • If dog(s) shows signs of Fleas,ticks,liceor worms treatment from veterinarian will be sort at cost to you plus £28arrangement fee.
  • Dogs are required to wear Tagged Collarcorrectly fitted at all times as part of the animal boarding licence fire procedure plan.
  • If we note your dog has not settled on our daily notes page, we may start an enrichment programme or we reserve the right to move dogs from one kennel to another, for theirwell-beingor well-being of other dogs.
  • Any medication required for the dog(s) will be discussed and if agreed added to the booking in form/medication sheet, all medication to be kept in one of our locked numbered medical boxes and stored/given as instructions on the medication sheet.
  • All Dog food supplied must be in anadequate sized container with Dogs name/feeding instructions clearly on.
  • All dogs must be in general good health and any conditions or possible expected behaviours explained before leaving your dog, thus reducing the chance of vet intervention with costs to yourself.If any dog shows signs of being under the weather it will be taken into the isolation kennel and monitored and where possible the owner contacted for advice. If there is no improvement a veterinary consultation may be sought at owner expense. If needed an incident report will also be completed for the owner to peruse on collection.
  • All kennel bookings cancelledrequire four weeks notice in the main holiday periods i.e. school holidays,or face a 50% cancellation fee, new customers during these periods are required to leave a 50% deposit.
  • Each kennel and isle will be cleaned daily, using a disinfectant suitable for animals. Bedding and boxes will be washed once a week or on a dog’s departure unless they are needed to be done more due to being wet or soiled.
  • Dogs will generally be fed in the mornings and evenings, unless otherwise agreed with the owners and stated on the booking in form. Food and water bowls will be washed out3 times daily.
  • Each dog will be let out for 5 – 10 minutes each morning and night for toileting and have further time out exercising throughout the day, minimumof 20 minutes in the morning, and 20 minutes in the afternoon periods, This will also be done depending on the size and ability of the dog and how much exercise is required.
  • Any concerns you have regarding your dogsstay, must be reported to Hopton boarding kennels within 72 hours of departure.
  • We do not accept aggressive dogs, if a dog does become aggressive every attempt will be made to ensure it’s basic care, itcould be moved to kennel 1, 15 or our isolation kennel and exercise restricted. We will attempt to contact owner to discuss behavior and may ask for you to arrangecollection of your dog. A surcharge of £3.00 per day will apply for movement to a different kennel.
  • If dogs are accepted into our isolation kennel for reasons other than illness/sickness (i.e. other aliments, old age or obtaining proof of vaccinations) there will be an extra £3.00 daily charged.
  • If we except dogs into isolation Kennel while proof of vaccinations are obtained, and it is later found vaccinations are out of date, we canarrange to take your dogs to our Vets for vaccinations to be done at owners expense, plus a arrangement fee of £28 will apply, or owner can arrange collection. If neither of these are possible other arrangements may be made for the dogs to be collected from our premises.
  • Dogs from the same family can share a kennel, if all dogs sharing can lie down fully stretched in sleeping area, however do so at owners risk, we cannot be held responsible for any injury caused from one dog to another and reserve the right to separate dogs at cost to you.
  • If a dog has not been collected on the agreed departure date they may be moved into temporary accommodation, freeing up the previously booked kennel space, and every effort will be made to contact the owner. However, after seven days if there is still no contact appropriate arrangements may be made for the dogs collection.
  • In the unlikely event of a dog passing every attempt will be made to contact the owner, if this is not possible our vets will be contacted and arrangements madefor collection at cost to you.
  • There is a secure fence around the exercise area however if a dog does escape, or escape’s a leaded walk, every effort will be made to find the dog, but we accept no liability if anything happens to the dog.
  • We are open for Dogs 365 days of the year, however we do not except any dogs in or out of the kennel block, on Christmas Eve afternoon Christmas Day, Boxing day, New Year’s Eve afternoon, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday there is also a minimum three day deposit.Three day deposit also applies to all public Bank holidays.
  • We may from time to time close kennel block for maintenance work during quieter times and use isolation kennel.
  • Data protection all information held weather electronic form, or hardcopy, will be held for a minimum of three years, we will not share any information with any third parties,other than, Government legal bodies and in cases of emergence our veterinarians seven edge veterinary practice.
  • Payments must be paid in full either by Cash, Cheque, Card payment or Bank transfer before departure, Chequespayments incur £1 Service charge,Debit Card transactions under £50 incur 50p Service charge, Credit Cards 2.75% Service charge, Commercial Cards 3.75% Service charge. Card transactions via Cardsave a division of Worldpay.

Hopton boarding kennels does not capture and store any personal information about individuals who access this website, except where you voluntarily choose to give us your personal details or by enquiring about or order booking any of our services. In these latter cases, the personal information you give us is used exclusively by Hopton boarding kennels,for providing you current and future information on any other services described.
